The Big Bad Wolf
Pin drop, the dime’s spinning, tack it to my corkboard left corner, poster’s spitting
What are you gonna do today!
I can’t pin that dime or dime that pin but I should’ve brought the dime to the bus stop
Push pin pushed through a colosseum of black rubber, horse drawn chariot on the other side
But the dimes got no eyes and he’s slipping down a coin slot
Blinded by the time, the place
Wrong time wrong place, I left the dime at home so I never made it past the bus stop
Lucky pin, traveling the city, glued to his nosebleeds, popcorn in his hands, kernels between his teeth, something sharp under his tongue
Well I’ve got something sharp on my tongue but I wish I had that dime
How do I make a living when I haven't got the dime!
Time’s up, pins flat, colosseum crumbled into ruins of
I didn’t see it, I wouldn’t know ask the pin he’s cream of the crop now
King’s crown dripping down his brow, shards of glory protecting his gold
White fur catching the sweat like trees in the fall
A magnificent cape, red, royalty, rum, humming along to his riches and the folds, shifting with the soundwaves
Drunk in a dream with the world in his hands, what a lucky humming pin
The world’s on my shoulders and dirt’s on my hands
I thought I dropped my dime so hands and knees here I am
Nails shredding through gravel, what's the point! Well my nails, give wolf teeth a run for their money
So I ran home, dime’s missing, pin’s dripping, window’s listening so of course! A huff and a puff and that gust of wind wins and whine is me and winds the poster
Wee wee wee all the way home on my desk that I stare at first every morning
Chin down and it asks little piggy
What are you gonna do today?
I’ll find that dime and file to a point and blood’s down my fingers so I stain that poster and pin it right corner then I'll dine with the pin and laugh at his rum while I choke on my red, red wine
