Twisted Elysium
Silence and darkness fill the air
A haven amongst day’s chaos
A safety under no one’s stare
I am finally all alone
Except for the moon who spills light
Into the night’s dark shadowed sea
Kissing my face in the midnight
Where lights choke stars till they’re unseen
I am at last free and weightless
Body floating into the sky
A serenely lit oasis
Intoxicating with its lies
An Elysium of numbness
A castle full of empty vows
A musical of silent bells
But the universe won’t allow
Such silence, such euphoria
Just palaces of enigmas
Alas, I dreamt this utopia
For some, just an anathema
For me, who chases self-control
It’s just an empty promise-land.
